I investigated this event and we show you went onto Statefarm.com and initiated a home insurance quote indicating your did not want a home and auto bundle. The Statefarm.com system will then send the lead to an agent and we received the lead so we then process those as if a customer is wanting a quote. I do apologize for you feeling this was an impersonal approach. We do try and call our customers so we can review the specifics of the quote and if we cannot connect by phone we will reach out by text or email. It is just a normal process for every agent. If we could have combined the quote with auto then our rate would have been competitive with the other rates you received. Again, I am sorry for any inconvenience and we will be sure and remove you from our prospect list."

I did investigate this incident and found out that your online application was submitted on February 17, 2024 with incorrect information. At State Farm we do rely on our customers to provide us with accurate information so we can provide accurate quotes and then we verify the information. Once we determined that some of the information was incorrect we attempted to reach out to you by phone, text and email to confirm the information but never received a response. It turns out that after updating the information based on your drivers license you were not longer eligible for State Farm Mutual, however, we did offer you coverage thru our Standard company. At that time you choose to not accept that offer and the previous coverage was cancelled In accordance with Texas State Law. You then submitted another online application that went to another agency with a different vehicle. If we would have had the correct information in the very beginning we would have been in a better position to provide an accurate quote. We did try everything we could to address the inconsistency"
